The 1955/58 HMV SMITHS Radiomobile 200R is a rare and highly sought after radio from the mid to late 1950's. It was produced in parallel with the 200X and was combined with a more powerful amplifier unit and aimed at the luxury car market, particularly Rolls and Bentley. As the radios we offer now are all upgraded to the same specification, the choice between the 200R and 200X is purely cosmetic.
Finished to an exceptional standard, the radio has undergone a full show quality restoration and is equipped with an AM/FM 4 x 45W RMS Stereo radio and wired AUX input. All the original controls are serviced and integrated. The resulting radio looks and operates exactly like it should as a period correct device, but has up-to-date features and performance. Turn it on and it sounds superb!
This radio was produced in a number of different colour combinations to suit the car interior. Following your order we will be in touch to discuss your exact requirements.
The radio is 12V Negative earth unless another configuration is selected before checkout.

Please Note: If purchased for use in the US we will substitute an HDR (High Definition Radio) unit for the DAB/DAB+ converter for at no extra cost. Simply select the DAB / HDR option as normal and we will make the necessary adjustments.
All of these additional options are fully integrated into the radio, so the existing radio controls are used to handle phone calls or move between audio tracks etc.
